And we are happy to introduce Mr. Sam Weiss.

Sam, Wice. All right, Sam, tell us a little bit about

yourself. Sure. So I'm a lawyer at the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law in Washington, D.C.

And I've spent a little time in the past working on prison rights issues for the ACLU and

Southern Poverty Law Center at a small office they have in Jackson, Mississippi.

Awesome. And this week, we're going to be talking about capital punishment and mental illness

in prisons. And so we've brought Sam on, one, because he is our friend and also my boyfriend.

It was good. Get that conflict of interest out of there right away.

This is my first time just closing this or an affair stuff.

Vanessa, initially set up this episode just to flirt with Sam and then we just had to delay

and they were already dating.

This is the only way I can get Sam to agree to hang out with me.

inmates.
