Good morning. Today is Tuesday, April 23rd. I'm Julie Morgan. United Health warns that bad actors from the

cyber attack got their hands on personal information. China has been able to

purchase NVIDIA AI chips

despite the ban.

United Health Group said a preliminary review

of data involved in February's attack on its change health care

unit indicates that personal information was involved in that a substantial proportion of people

in America could be impacted.

United Health said that because it will likely take months to identify and

notify those impacted, it will be providing certain support services in the interim,

including free credit monitoring and identity theft

protections. The company also advised people to monitor their financial and

insurance statements for

a suspicious activity.

United Health also said that nearly two dozen screenshots from files were made available by hackers on the dark web for about a week,

some of which contained personally identifiable or protected health information.

We also learned according to the Wall Street Journal that the ransomware group was able to access the network nine days before the actual attack.

Chinese research institutes have been able to buy

NVIDIA's high-end artificial intelligence chips through resellers.

Raiders reviewed tender documents fulfilled between November 20th and February 28th.
