What's up everyone? Welcome back to the epic gardening show. Today we're going to talk about a

Root crop I guess it's not really a root crop, but it is in the Allium family which is typically a root crop and that would be the leak the humble

leak a lot of people don't grow leaks or they don't eat leaks and I don't understand why it is a beautiful

beautiful vegetable

chock full of nutrition and have you ever had potato league soup?

Because I have and I like to make it in the garden,

rather in the kitchen from the garden. It's one of the most delicious soup

you're ever going to have. So get out in the garden and plant some leaks but

today we're talking about planning them in containers because you know it is a longer season crop and if you've got small

space maybe you don't want to dedicate your precious precious beds to something like a

leak which takes forever to grow and is relatively cheap at the grocery store or even

buying fresh and organic at a farmer's market.

But what about growing them in containers?

Now I have to admit I didn't have a lot of experience doing this so I turned

to the ever trustee YouTube which I put videos out on about what I know but I also do a

lot of research there as well for things that I don't know in the garden and I would

encourage you all to do the same you can learn so much from YouTube

gardeners now there's something about it in the UK people are experts at

growing all sorts of root vegetables, especially in containers.

It seems like that is their specialty.

Now, whenever there's a specialty, that's who you look for to learn from, right?
