opinion that matters. In the weeks ahead, I'll be reading from my devotional called

Unhurried Grace for a Mom's Heart,

Each devotional is less than 10 minutes long. I start by reading a short scripture passage,

and then I share some thoughts from my own heart as written in my devotional.

Then I'll ask some questions at the end to help you dig deeper and then I will end in prayer.

Today's devotional is called the only opinion that matters. The scripture passage is taken from Psalm 37, 1 through 9.

Don't worry about the wicked or envy those who do wrong. For like grass, they will soon fade away.

Like spring flowers, they will soon wither. Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live

safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the Lord and he will give you your heart's desires.

Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him and he will help you. He will make your

innocence radiate like the dawn and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.

Be still in the presence of the Lord and wait patiently for him to act. Don't worry about evil people

who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. Stop being angry. Turn from your rage. Don't

lose your temper. It only leads to harm. For the wicked will be destroyed, but those who trust in the Lord

will possess the land. Many times over the years my husband and I have encountered people who

thought the way we were raising or homeschooling our kids was wrong, or at least inferior to what they had in mind.

If God is going to tell anyone how to raise or homeschool your children,

it won't be your neighbors, parents, in-laws, outlaws, or friends.
