Welcome to my devotional grace for a mom's heart. In the weeks ahead, I'll be reading from

this devotional titled Unhurried Grace for a Mom's Heart, 31 Days in God's Word. This is

available on Amazon. Each devotional is less than 10

minutes long. I'll start by reading a short scripture passage and then share some thoughts from my own

heart as written in my devotional. Today's devotional is titled Dealing with Limitations.

Isaiah 45, 8 to 12 is the passage that we're going to be reading from.

Open up, oh heavens, and pour out your righteousness. Let the earth open wide so salvation and

righteousness can sprout up together. I, the Lord, created them. What sorrow awaits those who argue with their creator? Does a clay pot argue

with its maker? Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it saying, stop, you're doing it wrong?

Does the pot exclaim, how clumsy can you be? How terrible it would be if a newborn baby said to its father,

why was I born? Or if it said to its mother, why did you make me this way? This is what the Lord

says, the Holy One of Israel and your creator. Do you question what I do for my children? Do you give me orders about the work of my hands?

I am the one who made the earth and created people to live on it. With my hands, I stretch out the heavens.

All the stars are at my command.

So do you ever wonder if you have what it takes to raise your kids to adulthood,

much less homeschool them? It can be so much easier to see where we fall short than to acknowledge our strengths and giftings. But what does God think when we focus on our failures?

As our father and creator, what is his response when we place our shortcomings under a microscope?

Or what about when we let fear get a grip on us because we've been examining our faults?
