catch a glimpse of God's kingdom already here, but not fully realized. And as Danielle sat down with Jerry, right before he headed off for one of his radiation treatments, it felt like we were invited into something special. And so we wanted to share some of what God is doing in his life with you.

I'm Jerry Thomason. I'm a cancer patient. In the midst of the pain and the suffering, God has

been with me. And it's apparent to me that the scripture is true aware says that in his heart,

a man plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps. Amen. Jerry, we're so grateful that you're here.

We're grateful for all that God has done in your life and in the life of your family. Through this, the book of James talks about suffering and rejoicing in it, which it sounds like a contradiction, but that every good and perfect gift is from above coming down from the Father

sometimes. And you have shared so many gifts that have flowed through your suffering. So would

you share that with us? Yeah. I was raised in a godly home.

I became a Christian at an early age and did the same thing a lot of young Christians do,

strayed some as I grew up, but came back to the Lord and we've tried to live life according to God's word.

Most of my adult life, we were heavily involved in our church.

At that time, I was Salisbury Church, out in Hutton, worship. I was involved, even in my 20s on the church board as a trustee and later

as an elder. And as time went on, it got to where I was leading a couple of teams of over 40 people

total that were leading worship. And so that's been a big part of my life was music and worship. I'm also a business

owner. My dad started a trucking business in 1946. I've been the president since 2017. That's kind of

who I am. We have four adult kids and six grandkids. Not real exciting until this happened.
