Grant Day Pier, Sean Salisbury, and boy do we have a lot to talk about today.

You know what Sean, there is nothing like a Monday after a wild Sunday in the NFL, if it's right with you man I want to start in San Francisco

because the 49ers just became a better football team.

Listen, Trey Lance may be that guy, he's not the guy now Sean Sean, I know I speak for you man, you played in the

league for a while. You hate to see anybody get hurt. Mike Silver of the Chronicle came out

with a story talking with several of the guys in a locker room that said they can't go on record but they feel that this team is better now.

The Niners got better yesterday showing I hate to see the way it happened but to me they're now a legitimate

Super Bowl threat. Yeah for a guy who's been carted off a field twice in my career,

it sucks for different, my knee, his ankle,

and I hate to see that for anybody.

And he'll recover and get an opportunity,

four starts into his career.

The team did get better yesterday.

And it sounds so non-compassionate,

but I don't mean it like that.

I want him recover 100%.

The best insurance policy in the NFL was Jimmy Garoplo. And this is why you buy insurance, in case something like this happens. And while it sucks, and I hope Trey Lance turns into a star for this team with this roster and with a more consistent,

not spectacular but more consistent passing game where you don't have to be a hero because they're so good.

This is, this is better for them.

But what it takes out, Grant, I don't mean this insensitive,
