Before we begin this week's episode, allow me to quickly dust down your memory bank by giving

you a quick previously on Underwood and Flinch.

David Flinch arrived in Spain to be met by his sister Lydia.

As they drove up into the high country on route to the family home,

David told Lydia that he didn't want to be guardian and servant to the vampire Lord Underwood, and Lydia told

David that she would be more than happy to do the job in his stead. Then David suggested that neither of them need to do the job,

that they could simply destroy Underwood instead of resurrecting him and then return to their

normal lives.

At that Lydia turned on him, telling him that she had accepted the role of Guardian in her

heart long ago, and that if anyone tried to harm Underwood, including David, she would kill them.

She then laughed the whole thing off as a joke.

But was she joking? This week's episode begins on the street outside

La Rena de Corazones, the pub owned by English expat and sometimes slayer of Russian gangsters, Keith Mullins and his

partner Michelle. It's nearing lunchtime and two customers are approaching. A married couple we haven't met before.
