Hello listeners and a very warm welcome back to Underwood and Flinch.

Now that Underwood has told David his origin story, it's time for us to return to the daylight hours and the activities

of the other characters in the story, not in the 18th century, but very much in the here and now. You may recall back in episode 28 how Lydia made a display of her affections to Underwood.

Underwood rejected her and Lydia opened her throat with a twisted ring.

Rather than feeding from her, Underwood saved her.

You'd think that she'd be grateful, but of course, being saved in the traditional sense of the

word wasn't what she was looking for, and so, feeling thoroughly scorned,

she went out to meet with the Bensons and Miguel.

It seemed increasingly likely to them that Underwood was now about

to take Michelle as his vampire bride and then leave

Al-Nusina with David in tow as guardian. Consequently Lydia's plans to make herself

and her friends into vampires were looking decidedly bleak.

But then Gerald and Cynthia told Lydia about how Michelle had been strangely alarmed at seeing a picture of Russian mobster, Sergei Alexandrov, in a newspaper.

This news came to Lydia as a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day because she and Sergei

are old acquaintances. We'll be catching up with Lydia a bit later on, but first we returned to the home of Keith and

Michelle Mullins, owners of the pub Larena de Corazonas. The last time we met them, Underwood having utterly enslaved Keith's mind, was trying

to have his wicked way with Michelle. But David's intervention brought their intimacy to an abrupt end.

After David had woken and alarmed their 14-year-old daughter Melanie,
