Hello listeners.

Last time on blood and smoke David Flinch set out to find more about Lord Underwood's

past. On John's computer, David found a file full of MP3s. These were recordings of conversations

from original reel-to-reel tapes made by Arthur Flinch and Lord Underwood in London in 1940.

Their purpose, an autobiographical series to chronicle Underwood's life from his beginnings to, well, we don't know yet.

But like David, we do know the story of Underwood's earliest adventure. It ended with the arrival of a Portuguese ship to rescue the newly

turned vampire and his friend, Matthias Flinch, from an island in the Caribbean.

So, just as David has done, we can afford to go to the point in the recordings where that

adventure continues.

And now, as on the recordings Underwood and Arthur Flinch settle back in their chairs for

his lordship to begin his tale, I invite you to do the same. Sit back, relax, and allow yourself to be transported

back to the beginning of the 17th century, for underwood and Flinch, Blood and Smoke, Episode 2.
