Yeah, usually we do this virtually. If we ever do an episode together, usually we just do solo though.

Yeah, because you're in one state and I'm in another state and we divide and conquer.

But we're actually together and we're actually co-hosting right now.

Day's agenda is, first of all, what the algorithm is. How do you beat the algorithm or overcome it or use it to your advantage?

Basically, what do you do with it? How to increase your reach?

We're going to talk about what counts as engagement and how to boost engagement. All of that.

Let's start by explaining what the algorithm is.

And we've shared this with you guys before. But although so much has changed on Instagram, this is something that has not changed.

And just I think if you can understand this concept, it will always help you know how to evaluate your content.

So if you just keep this in mind, that the algorithm isn't a person up at headquarters who's trying to mess with your life.

The algorithm is simply a reflection of what Instagram has determined you want to see or what people want to see.

And it's artificial intelligence that sorting through content to deliver to you those things that you're engaging with the most.

And so it does this when you make a post.

So you just post something up Instagram says, okay, we're going to show this to this person's mega homies.

Like those five people who comment on everything that you post, the second you post it.

You know who I'm talking about. So it's immediately going to show it to your homies.

And if your homies engage with it, if they like it, they comment, they share, all the things, then it's going to be like,

Oh, okay, they're closest people like it.

Let's see if the people who pretty regularly comment, but not every time let's see what they think.
