Aquitas, the organization I work for now, gave me an opportunity that just seemed like a perfect fit.

I had always loved prosecution. And also,

when I went back and supervised our domestic violence unit, I really liked working with

other prosecutors and training them and getting them to feel more confident in their skill

set and their strategies. So that training aspect was something that I was really intrigued by.

And so it seemed like a great fit. And so I joined Equitas and then moved into this role

doing training and technical assistance. I'm Jamie Beebe. And I'm Jake Deptula. On today's

episode of Strictly stalking, we're speaking with Jane Anderson, who spent her career confronting the patterns of control and obsession at the heart of stalking and intimate partner violence.

Jane started as an assistant state attorney in Miami-Dade's domestic violence unit, where she saw how often stalking predicts more serious violence.

She went on to build the county's human trafficking unit,

prosecuting cases rooted in surveillance, coercion, and fear.

She's trained law enforcement, supported victim networks,

and led teams handling domestic violence, stalking, and major felonies,

all while using digital evidence to hold offenders accountable.
