After years of studying men and women, I have come to realize that a key to a happy relationship

with the opposite sex is to recognize that we have two natures.

When I call human animal, the other human spirit.

Human spirit is the elevated part of us.

It enables us to be our best selves.

Human animals, the more primitive part, the instinctive part that lashes out, often

in response to a primal fear of scarcity or competition.

When that happens, I call it an attack of human animal.

It's a cave woman or cave man attack.

And what happens is that there's literally an eclipse of human spirit.

So human spirit is still there, but it's in the background.

Overshadowed by the animal reaction that is driven by a perception of a threat to one

So when men and women perceive a threat to their survival, they react by instinct.

An instinct is defined as a primal biological urge and pallying a response that brings relief

Now, I bring that up because it's a good place to look.

Whenever you're experiencing tension, there's a very good chance that you're reacting instinctively

from your cave man or cave woman and not from human spirit.

Now, if we're going to bring out the best in ourselves and in each other, we have to

understand what causes an attack of human animal.

And what does that is any time that we perceive that our survival is in jeopardy.
