One week it's going to be about refugees here. Another week it's going to be about the earthquake there.

You had another week of your local fundraising of the mosque, which of course always.

You always have to fundraise in the mosque. Never going to stop. It's the reality of life.

Every single few days another cause comes.

And now I want to speak to the broader theological, the broader akhadi, the broader social issue

of how our mindset should be in the face of all of these fundraisers.

What should our attitude be? When every few weeks and days another flyer is handed to us.

There's another cause happening because after a while we ourselves begin to feel what's the point?

I'm not going to solve global poverty. What's the point I can't sponsor every Palestinian refugee?

What's the point that Kashmiri crisis is 75 years old? What's the point that a hingers are here?

The bihadi's are there. What can I possibly do to affect the entire globe?

I can't change everything. So why not just worry about myself?

Enough seeing up see and halas. I mean I can't change everything.

And that attitude is of course not just wrong. It is dangerous because it breeds of arrogance.

And it is a fundamental misunderstanding of our role in society.

Dear brothers and sisters, Allah did not put me or you in charge of solving global poverty.

We are not tasked with solving the Palestinian crisis.

We are not in charge nor will we be asked on the day of regiment if we have solved every single major issue in the globe.

When we set our boundaries unrealistically, inevitably we're going to fail.

Our playing field is not the entire globe.

Our playing field is our sphere of influence. Understand this point.
