Summary

Who's your phone a friend? The Thinking Tackle Podcast Uncut team welcome Scott Sweetman.

A respected big fish angler with an incredible track record, Scott has quietly built a reputation for targeting some of the UK's most special carp. Damian Clarke introduces Scott as "the only person I was going to call when I was struggling on the Underwater film" – praise that says everything about his ability. Known for his sharp observation skills and making the most of limited time on the bank, Scott is widely respected both within Korda and across the wider carp fishing scene.

In this podcast, the team talk about:

• Scott's approach to targeting big, individual carp

• The story of "The King" from Pit 2 in the Colne Valley

• Life as a limited-time angler and balancing family with fishing

• The importance of location, watercraft, and observation

• Memorable captures and lessons learned along the way

Now, for those that are listening, we have got a special guest in the studio today because we've got no Dovie or Spooner. Thank the Lord. It's lovely to not have them, man, right? Well, actually, now that you fucked out once, I'd actually like them to come back. Get me gone. Yeah. I've just literally started, for those that don't know, we've just literally started it for about four minutes and I totally forgot something at the beginning. So we've had to restart it. So it's on me. But hopefully Kev will seamlessly make this look like this is a professional start. We've got Scott Sweetman in today in replacement of Dovey and Spooner. Now, Scott's been talked about a few times on this podcast. Exceptional big fish angler. Damos always singing his praises. So we thought it'd be a great chance to get him in as a guest while the lads weren't here. Don't let me down. But the lads are going to be back next time and they're catching some really special carp currently over in Joganyika. So it's going to be a really good podcast the next one. We sort of him out with a bit of kit now and then. I think in the last few years, John sort of took a bit of a backseat to carp fishing. But he was a carp catcher, extraordinary's for sure wherever he went he was ultra successful
