I'd probably say there was four uncourt 50 pounds in there at the right time of you.

I know you haven't swapped fishing entirely, but publishing has taken up an awful lot of your time in the last, I don't know, a few years? 18 months. 18 months. I've been working on books for, yeah, probably 20 years now.

Yeah.

But yeah, the last 18 months, it's become more than just a hobby.

And this is, fair to say, into an industry or a part of our industry,

that you would struggle to see growing.

But talk to me about the process that led you to quitting a high-profile job and

becoming a publisher.

Well, I'd been working at Boots the Pharmacy, Boots the Chemist for the best part of 20 years.

And in May 2023, I had the option of a redundancy package that decided to take the redundancy.

And obviously at that point, I thought I'm going to have a couple of months off and go fishing like you do.

And after that couple of months I I'm

quite liable to get a bit lazy if I'm totally honest I do like to have the path of

least resistance generally speaking so I took the took the redundancy had three two months

off and then decided and made myself a promise that I would complete my second book during

that period and that would be a job to do and I would only think about the next job after I'd

sent that hiding in the long grass to print. It went to print on the Sunday, I think it was.

So we're going back to about September 23 here.
