Godly Distractions.

Hey everybody, Joe Simons.

The Diamonds back again with Salt Strong Unchurched.

Towards the end of the year, just finished up with Thanksgiving.

If you're anything like me, this is a great time of the year to think about all the things that happen so far in 2023.

To be grateful for them.

I don't think there's anything better than being grateful and writing down things you're grateful for.

And just giving thanks to God for everything we're grateful for.

It's also a good time to look at the past year and really, really be honest with yourself.

Like I'm doing right now about things that have distracted us from being more godly, if you will.

So things that distract us from living a better life or more godly life, even in a rips the life, right?

And it can be everything from overeating to looking at porn to just being addicted to social media or even this is my first year doing fantasy football.

And I'm realizing how quickly I can get sucked into this, even to the detriment of, you know, my family sometimes the weekends because I just want to get in front of the TV or my phone and see how I'm doing fantasy.

And I had to take a step back.

I'm like, this fantasy stuff is not important.

And I've seen other people who are way, way, way more into it than I am.

And it kind of consumes them.
