Some traditions are good, and some trends are good, but only if those traditions or trends point us to God's word.

I want to make disciples, we want to multiply churches among all nations.

We know, we know that the purpose of our Christianity, the purpose of our faith

is not to sit back and coast this thing out in a comfortable church with programs and events that cater to us.

No.

The purpose of our Christianity, the purpose of our faith, the reason why we exist is to spread the gospel of Jesus

Christ where we live into the ends of the earth and that involves every

member of this church and front lines every member making disciples who make disciples who make disciples.

Which means that we are continually willing to send out our best,

whether it's a small group of people to Seattle or Kansas City or New York,

or North Africa or Central Asia or East Asia or East Asia or East Lake or today

South Side Homewood.
