Greg, we talked about the press conference yesterday on this show, and Mike Malone is the head coach of North Carolina.

It still sounds weird to me, to be honest, that Carolina finally got a hire done.

It would have probably sounded weird, whoever they hired.

But not inside the family, but kind of inside the family.

Or their family is very, seemed very unified.

And we can discuss that. But your, your thoughts here on the role

that this Carolina family, quote unquote, played in this hiring. I think it was very important

to have the blessing from all those guys, from all those guys for Michael Malone. I don't think

there's any question about that, Tommy, for sure.

And I've told this story before, but years ago, I'm not exactly sure what year,

I mean, seven, eight years ago, when Roy Williams was still coaching,

but it was getting close to the end and you knew that Carolina was going to be needing to consider options for the next head coach at some point.

And I had sat down with Bubba Cunningham in his office and we were having discussion.

And so I asked, I said, you know, as you project Ford, whenever Roy decides to retire.

Do you have a list of names in your desk?

Is there a list of requirements that you need for that next coach?

Does he have to be a member of the Carolina basketball family?
