Yesterday was a big day in Chapel Hill, a different day in Chapel Hill.

Mike Malone or Michael Malone announced as the head coach.

But getting there has been such a wild ride.

And North Carolina, if you listen to Steve Newmark, and you listen to them, they got their

man. We can debate how it happened or whatever. But the process to get to yesterday, pretty

interesting and a pretty wild ride for North Carolina program that is trying to get back to where they

weren't swore.

For sure.

And it's been a process, Tommy, for two weeks.

As you said, it's been a long, long two weeks, a couple years in those two weeks.

It feels like since North Carolina decided to part ways with

Hubert Davis. And yeah, I mean, it's interesting because if you if you go back and look at our

initial recruiting board, which we posted right after Hubert Davis was let go, Malone was listed

as a name to watch. But he was not in that top tier that we had put together. And we kept him there and we would come back to that name when talking with sources. Like, we sure we want to keep him on this? And they're like, yeah, I think that's accurate. And as, you know, as we heard during the press commerce is yesterday, there, there were

conversations and fillers to see if he would be interested from the get-go, and he kept saying

no.

And then I think as you see some of these other names kind of pull, pull their names out,

you know, with Tommy Lloyd deciding to re-up with Arizona and Dusty May,
