Hey everyone. Today's book is about Louis Zamperini, the Olympic runner and World War II hero. I tried writing jokes in this section, but they all felt disrespectful. Louis survived a plane crash, prison camp, shark attacks, starvation, torture, and distance running. This is one of the most inspirational books I've

ever read. It's Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand. And this is The Book Pile. I'm Kellyn Erskine. I'm a

comic, a father, and the only thing I've never broken is all the bones in my body. I credit some of that to not having an older brother

play a game with me of jumping over him while he kicks me. What a specific made-up example.

And I'm David Vance. The first time I read this in 2012, I promised myself I would never complain

about my life again. The second time I read it just now,

I was co-host of a podcast based mostly on complaining. So I think it's beautiful how we grow.

heading to southern Brazil. Since then, I've binged every episode at least twice. Y'all have

introduced me to interesting new books all the while,

making me laugh hard enough that people around me start giving me weird looks 10 out of 10.

So this is great.

And a couple things.

First of all, I did the math.

And binging all of our episodes once is 50 hours of content.
