So what do you do when you try to overthrow a government and you lose, you don't succeed

and you want to try again, basically, you know, what do you do?

Well I can tell you what the Confederacy did.

They turned their dad into martyrs.

They turned their leaders into heroes and they did their very best for a hundred years

or more to make them heroes for the entire nation.

They named military bases after generals, after Confederate, traitor generals.

They put up statues all across the United States to white supremacists, to clan leaders,

to Nathan Bedford Forest, the founder of the clan.

He's got a statue in the Capitol building.

I mean, this is what you do.

You create an alternative narrative about what happened and you turn the people who

were the actual criminals, the actual traitors, the people who tried to overthrow the government,

the people who tried to destroy your country, the people who tried to destroy your democracy,

you turn them into martyrs.

And then as martyrs you sanctify them, you turn them into saints.

And that's exactly what the right-wing America and the Republican Party and Donald Trump

and Fox News and all the right-wing hate radio right across the board.

That's what they are up to right now with Ashley Babbitt.

Ashley Babbitt is one of the five protesters, I believe it was five of them, who died on

the day of January 6th.
