Everywhere you look, men are grabbing for power.

They want power.

And I'm going to tell you, friends, power belongs to one person.

Power belongs to God.

And if man has any power, it's because God let him have it.

If the devil has any power, it is because the Lord for a season has allowed it,

but ultimate power belongs to God only.

We return today to Mark chapter 5.

There's this series of miracles here, again, referenced in Matthew and Luke as well.

But you see the chain reaction in Mark 5. In the first 20 verses, Christ shows

his power over demons. Aren't you glad Christ has power over the devil? In verses 25 to 34,

in our last study, we saw that Christ had power over disease. You remember that woman that he healed

had the issue of blood for 12 years. Doesn't matter how long you've dealt with

something. The eternal God is greater than all of that. And now we come to the ultimate power. What is

that? It's power over death. Because in Mark chapter 5, Jesus raises Jiris's daughter from the dead.

And by the way, this isn't the only time he'll demonstrate his power over

death. He's going to raise a 12-year-old girl here. That's good. He's going to raise the widow of
