I'm John Batson with my two colleagues, my co-host Bill Rajo of the Foundation for Defense

of Democracies, and John Hardy of the FD, who watches Ukraine for us. Now, this is the speculative part,

but the campaigns have made remarks, and the Trump administration has a record from the first term,

and the vice president has a record from serving with Mr. Biden during these years of war in Ukraine.

Quickly, John, we just have a few minutes.

What is your understanding of the Harris administration in 2025 in Ukraine?

Have they said anything definitive?

Nothing I would say is a real statement of policy,

except the fact that they're going to continue to support in Ukraine.

So I think you'll see a lot of continuity from the Biden administration,

but of course any new administration is going to conduct a review of the Ukraine,

Russia policy.

And so there may be points of departure.

You could see, for example, the permission for a long-range strike that Ukraine's been

asking for.

All of that will be under consideration.

I think, you know, Kiev will make a renewed push to try to get the United States to surge aid of, you know, armor vehicles and artillery systems, et cetera, basically all the things they, they, you know, constantly need and are short on. And there would be especially useful for equipping new brigades that Ukraine is trying to form up. Again, this is all part of that, that victory

plan, kind of push for an increased Western aid that I mentioned earlier.

And the Trump campaign, has there been any indication of specifically how they would deal

with Ukraine? I understand that the candidate has made remarks. I could settle this in 24 hours.

Setting that aside, anything that looks like a policy we can lean on.
