Hello, we're gonna do something a little bit different today,

because as we approach the first anniversary

of the Russian invasion of Ukraine,

we're gonna speak to an amazing lineup

of BBC correspondence who are all across the continent

of Europe, who will just be able to take the temperature

of where this conflict has got to,

and answer some of the questions that I've had about it

for a little while now,

and there's been a lot going on today,

it's not just that it's the buildup

to a kind of momentous date on the calendar.

So the first person we're gonna check in with

Where actually are you in Ukraine,

and why is that sort of a good vantage point for today?

Well, I'm in Harkeyf.

It's about a six hour drive or so out of Kiev.

We're only about 20 miles or so from the Russian border.
