This is TBS. I am the world. I'm John Bachelor. I welcome Katrina Vandenhove, the

editorial director and the publisher of the Nation magazine, also a columnist at the

Washington Post, to comment on items of interest these last days that pertain immediately

to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

For example, this headline,

Close Brandenburg election shows AFD can shape future of German politics.

What this means is, AFD is a splinter party. It's anti-EU, it's anti-NATO,

it's certainly anti-Olef Schultz, the leader of Germany, ahead of a coalition, but it is also importantly anti-war.

It believes that contributing to the Ukrainian war is not in the best interests of the German

people.

It also wants other things and is associated with other extreme

statements, but that one alone is worth tossing around because Germany is now

funding the war in Ukraine and all of a

Schultz's popularity is plunging. Is it all the Ukraine? No, it's mostly all

immigrant. But Katrina, a very good evening to you.

There is an impatience throughout Europe with the Ukraine war.

There's reason to believe now the supplies going in from NATO and from Russia.

The recruiting going on in Russia 180,000 additional troops

Mr. Putin says that he once trained and from NATO more money going into EU, not only to rebuild but to continue the war.

There's plenty of impatience for the Ukraine War everywhere except Washington.

How do you perceive Washington on this matter?
