To Ukraine Conflict, to lessons learned.

Colonel Jeff McCausen, the United States Army retired and artillery men,

CBS News, visiting Professor Dickinson College, CEO of Diamond Six Leadership and Strategy.

Jeff, I learned from an article you guided me to at Defense One that there is a lesson learned

here that was not in place before. Perfectly engineer, really expensive

equipment is not working as well as the stuff you buy off the shelf at Kmart, especially drones. Is that a lesson that the all militaries will absorb?

Good usual. I think it is job because one of the problems we've already had with

military hardware is beginning, I I think with an assumption about how wars will be prosecuted.

There's an old saying, John, that military is prepared for the last war. I've actually modified that.

And I say military is prepared for the last war they liked.

And the last war that they liked for us with of course the Gulf War, which lasted only about

100 hours. Well, therefore you can put out a very expensive platforms because you're only in the Gaza Strip and in Ukraine, we see wars more like we saw in the early part of the 20th century,

the industrial warfare being sustained for longer and longer period of times.
