Ukraine's President Zelensky had some choice words to describe Russia on Thursday.

Instead of choosing the negotiating table, he said they chose ballistics.

He was speaking after at least 15 people were killed in a drone

and missile attack on the country's capital. Residential and other buildings were hit. This woman,

Sophia, was inside one of them. At first, I heard an explosion just in the background, then one strong explosion, and then the windows were broken.

I wanted to get up and run.

But I waited a couple of seconds, and there was a second explosion.

We ran out. There were no doors or windows.

Honestly, it's never happened before that they attacked so close to me.

Everyone is suffering now. It comes to any area. As we can see, no negotiations have yielded anything yet.

Unfortunately, people are suffering.

Well, the latest we're hearing is that among the dead were four children.

But emergency teams have been working

through the night and the casualty figures have been increasing as one body after another is

pulled from the rubble. I'm joined now from Kiev by our correspondent there, Katie Watson. Katie,

can you tell us latest what is the scene there in Kiev?

Yes, so this morning I spent the morning at the deadliest site of the, what, more than 20 sites

that were hit here in the capital.

It was a low-rise block of flats, five floors.

A missile had ripped through the middle of the building, collapsing all of the floors in the point that it hit.

And there were rescue workers on the rubble.
