College visiting professor, CEO of Diamond Six leadership and strategy. Progo's always

in the news these days, promoting himself, making brutal remarks, but directing some

of those remarks against his allies, colleagues side by side with the US, with the Russian Army,

almost said Soviet Army, forgive me, led by Gerasimov and other general staff members,

but also directing the remarks at the leadership in the in the Kremlin. It makes no sense,

Jeff, at all. And Progo's again and again is in the news, either qualifying things that

have been said about him or correcting the record. What is his point? What is function?

Is this what a country coming apart looks like? A loud mouth bully?

Yeah, it certainly could be that John. I think it shows how much, in many ways, the Russians

are dependent on the Vodna group. We have to keep in mind, this is not an insignificant

force. They have deployed upwards of 50,000 soldiers in this offensive in Ukraine. And in

many ways, Ukrainians, I have talked to, have said the Vodna group is probably one of the

more effective military formations they face in this conflict, the paratroopers being

perhaps the best, but the paratroopers have been pretty decimated. The Vodna group, not

because they're necessarily tactically all that great, but they're willing to use massive

artillery attacks and then try to fall up by massive infantry assaults, paying little

attention to how much casualties are incurred, but in doing it in that fashion, at least

or successful in the gaining of territory. So there's a dependency on Pregozin. I'm

sure they were all pretty concerned with a few weeks ago. Grasemov said that he was going

to pull the Vodna group out of the, out of Vokmur. This would have left the whole Russian
