One of the richest men in Ukraine has had his home raided by security officials, investigating possible financial crimes.

Other people's properties were also raided, but Ihor Kolomoisky is, first of all, a billionaire with interests in aviation, metals and media.

But much more significantly, he was a major backer of the country's president, Volodymyr Zelensky, back when he was standing for office.

Indeed, Mr Zelensky was accused by critics at the time of being million oligarchs puppet.

In photographs taken after the raid, Mr Kolomoisky seemed rather surprised at what had happened, as are Ukraine correspondent James Waterhouse told me.

We've seen images on social media of Mr Kolomoisky appearing to be standing in his wooden paneled living room, complete with a rug looks...

And not looking particularly impressed as officers appear to search his home and you're right.

He is a significant figure in Ukraine. He's one of the country's richest men.
