This is CBS I in the world. I'm John Bachelorette Henry Sikowski of the Non-Tural

Administration Policy Education Center. And Ray and I have talked about the nuclear

power plants in Ukraine since the beginning of the war. There's Chernobyl which is infamous

for the crisis of the 20th century. There's Apparizia, the largest nuclear power generating

plant in Europe, operating at the edge of a combat zone taken over by the Russians, stories

of brutality, torture, kidnapping, inspections by the IAAS going on for months. It's a

melodrama and now we get one more turn of the screw. Ukraine's nuclear power plants

wear a central part of Russia's plan to force key capitulation. This is from insider

military defense. Moscow hope to seize the plants and use them as leverage against Ukraine

and Western countries. Reed Nato to pull that off according to this report Russian spies

began targeting power plant workers months before the invasion. Is there a name mentioned

yes there is Andre Derkatch, a former member of Ukraine's parliament and head of Energo

Adam, Energo Adam which is the state nuclear company. In other words the FSB penetrated nuclear

energy in Ukraine before the war meaning to use these plants exactly as Henry and I imagine

not only as leverage but as a weapon within the combat zone. Henry we didn't make this

up we can't make it up it's real that the Russians apparently have taken nuclear energy

plants far more seriously than what we've been able to learn about our war planners.
