Welcome one and all we have a lot of news this week. Something really fairly momentous took place between the last time we met and now, namely the Congress passed and the president has signed finally aid for Ukraine and also some of our

other allies including Israel and Taiwan.

So I'd like to begin with this, the meaning of it.

And you're very familiar with the Europeans and of course with the Ukrainians.

Describe the effect on Ukraine

and then more broadly on what this projects

about America's role in the Western Alliance.

So first of all, yes, of course,

there will be an immediate impact in Ukraine.

We may have already seen it, the arrival of US long-range missiles, but also in the next few

days the arrival of ammunition supplies. The Ukrainians were beginning to lose. the and hopefully this will begin to reverse that.

Just as important is the psychological effect.
