Where are you?

I'm in Warsaw Airport, Patty, after driving across the border from Ukraine from Leviv this morning.

We started in Leviv at about 4 a.m. this morning, having stayed there late last night, and I was in Kiev yesterday.

So I'm in Warsaw, shortly to get on the plane back to London for the show tomorrow well I mean

I've got so much to ask about the interview that you've carried out but also

just the conditions there I mean how that so I guess it's completely

splanked with snow it's really snowy but it's quite slushy in the cities, but we've sort of drove for hours

and hours through very flat, frozen lands, but there were also some lovely, pretty sort of

forests.

You know when you get like frozen, lovely trees that looked all twinkly and gorgeous, but also

the reality, you know, quite often you pass army trucks parked up and you see the slush and the ice and the grit and the cold.

And what just kept coming into my head was imagine having to fight in those kinds of circumstances.

How?

And even when you're crossing checkpoints and it didn't seem to me that there are that many checkpoints now.

We were in and around Kiev in that kind of area,

and there's certainly fewer checkpoints than there were the last time I was there.

But soldiers standing for hours on end in the freezing cold.

And it's just a really, really tough place to be right now,

even though in the news we haven't been talking

about Ukraine that much recently. That is exactly the point. Well, we're really glad you've done
