I welcome Katrina Van and Hova, the editorial director and publisher of Nation magazine,

to comment on something she and I have corresponded about.

And with her late husband talked about for many years, which is the absolute red line

of Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine, thou shalt not pass.

And yet here we are in a conflict that is approaching its full year.

Escalation is obvious.

Not only had the tanks no longer no sooner been guaranteed by Germany, Spain, Poland, Finland,

and the United States and France is talking, then Keith has for F-16s and long-range missiles.

Moscow is putting in air defense.

It is settling into a long war, extremely dangerous, or what it portends for.

Global North, global global war, and the war in Europe.

Katrina, the article in Foreign Affairs is a revelation to me because it includes links

to George Kennen's correspondence with Strobe Talbot in the Second Clinton Administration.

You're familiar with all these players.

It was written by Frank Kustegleola, who was a biographer of George Kennen.

George Kennen simply said very clearly, back in 1948 and the rest of his time serving

the State Department and then in retirement to Strobe Talbot and Mr. Clinton in the

late 20th century, that Ukraine and Russia are intimately entangled and that there is

no line between them that you can draw and their economies are intertwined.
