The headlines in the Financial Times, this is London reporting.

U.S. objects to calling out, quote, Russian aggression, end quote, in G7's statement on Ukraine, subhead Trump

administration splits with allies on holding Moscow responsible for war. Split is the important

word here because it suggests that there is now a division in the Atlantic that did not

exist before the Ukraine war.

The meetings in Paris of most interest to me because we're told that the U.S. was not at the table.

We're told that it was a meeting called by President Macron and the word emergency was used. Many of the European Union powers showed up. I don't have a list. Certainly, Mr. Starrmer was there from the UK. I do not know if Olaf Schultz attended. He was disdainful of the conversation. He did, yes.

Yes, he was disdainful of the conversation.

I believe Georgia Maloney was there.

But in any event, that meeting came to no conclusion.

And there was a second meeting yesterday, mostly hybrid.

I'm told that the PM from Romania was in person with Mr. Macron in Paris.

And again, the meeting came to no conclusion or no EU plan for Ukraine either during the closing of the hostilities or post-war.

Your comments about no Ukraine plan, what were they looking for?
