I'm John Batsu, a professor H.J. Mackander, six

capital six points of view on the eve of the NATO Chiefs gathering in Vilnius.

Vilnius is the capital of Lithuania.

It has a vulnerable border with Belarus, where the Russians have now deployed, they say,

tactical nuclear weapons, tactical nuclear weapons which, according to Lukashenko, the

despised dictator of Belarus is under joint control with Lukashenko and Putin.

We don't know what that means, but he said it.

Vilnius and Lithuania, of course, also have a seaborder, they share a gulf and on the

other side of the gulf is the Russian state of Kaliningrad.

The Lithuanians, they have nuclear reactors.

They're very, very tough, but having NATO meet there means that they're not going to have

to imagine of what the situation is like in the war.

Now NATO was created so that the Soviet spearhead could not come rolling into Germany.

That is no longer an important mission for NATO.
