This is the Friends of History Debating Society. I'm John Bachel, with the generous Professor H.J. Mackender in a national relation.

Six capital, six points of view. Brussels is a capital with two hats. One is NATO, the war fighting, looking for ammo, building up the defenses of the frontier for the rest of the century.

And reviewing defense budgets. The other is the EU, which at the beginning of the winter was frightened of the possibility of blackouts and people not being able to afford their electricity bill.

It looks that they've ridden it out this year, but there's 24, there's 25, there's the future.

Therefore, the EU is aware, led by Germany and France. The EU is aware that it needs a resolution so it can get back to the business of prosperity. That's what it is. It's not a war fighting unit.

It's a meeting of peace on Earth, globalization, professor. They're not even quiet about it anymore.

France and Germany, Mr. Schultz and Mr. McCrone, tell Keith, settle this. Go to the peace table. Start talking in Germany and France. What is their motive to stay in this and to pressure Keith? Do they believe it's a better outcome by putting pressure on than keeping silent?

Well, it should be glaringly obvious to anybody who can read a map and figure out how far things are from other things on the map that the critical interest of Paris and Berlin.

I'll call them Western NATO for now, is that Mr. Putin and an aggressive Russia be stopped in Ukraine.

If that doesn't happen, then the security prospects for those countries are very bad indeed, because I don't expect that the United States is going to intervene to build them up.

Both France and Germany are quite capable of taking care of themselves. Or the Europeans could all pool their resources and have a single superpower military.

But when I think of Germany and France, the old American country phrase comes to my mind, that don't hunt.

And I just, it's very hard for me having watched Europe all my life and hope that they would somehow get their act together. It is, they're not going to.

However, I would focus the spotlight on a so-called Bucharest 9, where as I called them the Bucharest 9 plus 2, because I think that Sweden and Finland are both part of this.

These are really going to be the center of gravity for Western and foreign assistance to Ukraine in the future.

And the decision for peace or war is really going to be in their hands.

They can't supply on the level of the United States can. But I don't think that they will settle, since they all border on Russia or nearly border on Russia.

I don't think they're going to settle until the Russian Genie is put back in the bottle until Mr. Putin is shown very clearly that under the, well, under laws from the 19th century, under the UN Charter, under agreements, the Putin himself is signed.
