Hi, from CNN. I'm Josh and Shana with the five things you need to know for Tuesday,

November 25.

We start with news that Ukraine has agreed to a peace proposal to end the war with Russia.

That's according to a U.S. official, who said only, quote, minor details are outstanding.

Earlier this morning, Ukraine's President Vlodemir Zelenskyy said on X that these are,

quote, solid results, but that much work still lies ahead.

And as U.S. and Russian officials hold talks today in Abu Dhabi, Russia's foreign minister

Sergei Lavrov says the Kremlin could potentially reject this amended peace plan if its

terms are, quote, fundamentally different

to the understanding reach during the US-Russia summit in Alaska.

Let's hear now from CNN's Claire Sebastian on what could be a significant step to ending the war in Ukraine.

There are quite a lot of missing pieces here. Ukraine's allies are set to meet virtually this afternoon,

the so-called coalition of the Willing to discuss what's

on the table there. There's also the issue of a potential meeting between Zelensky and Trump.

Zelensky said that he hopes to discuss the most sensitive issues in the peace plan with

the US president and one of his top aides came out on X this afternoon calling for that

meeting to happen at the earliest possible date in November.

So it's clear that they want that to happen soon.

And then, of course, the biggest issue of all, and perhaps the most difficult part in all of this is Russia.
