When the dollar strengthens global financial conditions tighten,

commodity prices tend to go down and credit spreads and

borrowing costs tend to go up.

When you look at the front end of the US real rate curve, we've had a rapid reprising.

All-l equal lower interest rates are more stimulus than higher interest rates.

So I'm not sure that raising rates would actually help the economy.
