Something very interesting going on with the case of

Sylvester Turner's chief of staff, William Paul Thomas.

William Paul Thomas, a year ago, walked into the federal

courthouse. He knew he was under investigation.

Turned himself in and said he wanted to cut a deal.

He knew things.

And so the news was announced.

And the expectation was he would let them know what he knows.

And then he would, and he would plead guilty.

And he would be sentenced.

His original sentencing was November 28th Thanksgiving weekend.

Or Thanksgiving week.

And then something happened.

They didn't sentence him then.

They moved it to February 21st.

Then in January, they said we're going to move that back

again to March 27th.

And then just before that, they moved it back to June 20th,

which would mean a week from tomorrow.

But now, without any fanfare, they've moved that back

to October 2nd, 830 AM, downtown Houston,
