| 0:00.0 | Welcome to Unfuck Your Brain. The only podcast that teaches you how to use psychology, feminism, |
| 0:14.0 | and coaching to rewire your brain and get what you want in life. And now here's your |
| 0:19.3 | host, Harvard Law School grad, feminist rock star, and master coach, Carla Lohanthile. |
| 0:26.3 | Hello, my chickens. How are you? I am hot. I don't mean aesthetically, although also that way, |
| 0:36.4 | it's just really full on New York summer now when it is hot. And I love that it doesn't feel |
| 0:43.0 | like it's about summer. So I think I am consistent about summer because I'm just not a big fan of it |
| 0:47.8 | overall. I mean, I like it being late at night, light late at night. There we go. It's a tongue twister. |
| 0:53.2 | But other than that, like I could do without the heat, the humidity, the smell, like the sweating, |
| 1:00.9 | all of it. Just not a big fan. But I see a lot of people around me who love parts of summer. |
| 1:07.0 | They love that it's hot. I had an ex who loved being hot. I was like so mystified. |
| 1:12.8 | They love the long days. They love the heat. But then they don't like the mosquitoes and they don't |

| 1:25.1 | don't like the heat or they whatever it is. And this is sort of a superficial example of something |
| 1:31.7 | that I want to talk about on a really deep level with you all. And it's what I call the |
| 1:36.1 | internal contradiction error. And this is a name I made up. And you know what? It's not that snappy. |
| 1:42.9 | I could have done a better job, but I'm really supposed to be on vacation right now. So my brain |
| 1:47.7 | is pretty tired. But here's what I mean by the internal contradiction error. And I have had |
| 1:53.6 | this come up most recently in coaching around business. And so I'm going to talk about this in |
| 1:58.5 | the context of entrepreneurship. But whoever you are, 100% I guarantee you're doing this in some |
| 2:04.9 | area of your life. And so I, you know, just listen and apply it to wherever you can see you're doing |
| 2:11.8 | this. So the internal contradiction error is when we want to do a thing or be a kind of person. |
| 2:19.7 | But we want the experience to be a way that is completely contradictory to the thing that we |
