Summary

Are you a coach or thought work aficionado who wishes the industry would step it up to meet the demands of a complicated multi-cultural world? In this special episode, you will get a preview of a brand new podcast that I created with my dear friend and fellow life coach, Simone Seol: Outside the White Box: Elevating the Coaching Conversation. This is the first episode of a limited series that will weave together unofficial expertise in history, sociology, anthropology and thought work to challenge the “white box” of mainstream self-development and elevate the coaching conversation. Tune in to learn all about how to elevate the industry by embracing complexity in your marketing.

Okay, chickens, I am so excited about what you're in here in the podcast today. So if you

0:34.2

have been listening to this podcast for any amount of time, you know that the way that I think

0:39.4

and teach about thought work is not your average life coach. We're not talking about manifestations,

1:18.9

feeling like a helpless victim of the world, right, and still empowering ourselves. And I think that

1:24.6

the fact that I had such a varied kind of career and intellectual education really is part of

1:32.1

what makes me able to do that. And I'm so really committed to the idea of elevating the coaching

1:38.1

industry and the coaching conversation. I really believe that coaching can change the world, the way

1:43.4

that I do it, the way that we do it. And it's really important to me that coaching get to as many

1:49.5

people as possible in its full transformative power, which in my belief does require an

1:55.5

understanding of the real world that we're all living in. So this is something I'm really passionate

2:00.6

about. It's something I teach in depth in my advanced certification and feminist coaching.

2:05.3

And it's something that I talk about with my colleagues and my coach friends all the time.

2:09.9

And so my colleague friend, also my student in the first round of advanced certification and
