0:00.0	On Friday, the US government intelligence community released a preliminary report on UAPs,
0:06.2	unidentified aerial phenomena, more commonly known as UFOs.
0:10.7	The long-awaited report comes after the declassification and release in recent years of several
0:16.0	videos showing mysterious sightings.
0:18.6	And while investigators said there were no extraterrestrial links to the 144 sightings that were
0:24.8	reviewed, they also said there was too little information to characterize the incidents,
0:30.6	leaving a lot of unanswered questions.
0:33.7	Tonight the highly anticipated report on unexplained aerial phenomena is here, but the answers

0:41.0	US government officials examined 144 reports of UAPs like these, and still don't know
0:46.7	what 143 of them were.
0:50.3	Following the possibilities they considered, debris in the air, atmospheric conditions,
0:55.4	secret US equipment, a foreign adversaries advanced technology, or simply other.
1:02.0	The long-awaited Pentagon report on UFOs was released today, and it echoes the reporting
1:07.1	from 60 minutes that there are a lot of unexplained sightings, more than 140 since 2003,
1:14.1	including 11 near misses with US aircraft.
1:17.7	There is no evidence the report says that adversaries like Russia or China are behind
1:21.9	them, so these sightings remain a mystery.
