Northern New Hampshire, USA, is one of the most scenic places you will ever travel by day.

But by night, as you wind through the forests of tall evergreens that cover the mountains and gulches,

it can be a lonely, if not foreboding country.

But Betty and Barney Hill were upbeat, relaxed, and had no thoughts of the terror that awaited

them as they drove south on New Hampshire State Route 3 at 1030 PM that night, September 19th, 1961.
