| 1:14.0 | Now the number one thing that I see in the people that I coach and the businesses that I support around leadership and getting a return on investment from the support resources that they have, the employees, the contractors, is that they really struggle to follow a system for effective delegation, a system for moving from training to coaching to managing, |

| 1:45.0 | So if you are a business owner, an entrepreneur, or even executive leader, anyone really that's responsible for others, what you have to know is that in order for a business to be profitable, the business needs to get a multiple of a return on investment for each and every employee. |
| 2:02.0 | So if you're an employee in a company, you have to bring three to four times your salary in order for you to be an asset to that company versus a drain on its resources. |
| 2:12.0 | The same thing goes for each and every support person in your own business, employee or contractor. They have to bring in three to four times their salary to be a positive investment all in, all said and done for your firm. |
| 2:28.0 | So it's really important that you have that mindset from the get go that an employee is either going to be an asset or a drain on your resources. |
| 2:37.0 | And surprisingly, and I want you to really hear me on this, the number one thing that's going to determine that isn't so much the employee, but more than 80% of that is going to come down to you, the leader, how you coach them, how you manage them, and how effectively you do your job. |

Basically, I'm going to give you a step by step that I want you to follow in your business that's going to help you to be an effective manager and to make sure that you're doing your job, which is setting your employees up for success so that they can do their job, which is bringing you a return on investment. |

| 3:19.0 | The first step in the process is teaching and training. So the number one thing that I think everyone wants to do as they build their business, grow their career, whatever the case is they want to be able to effectively delegate. |

| 3:40.0 | Now, what we all know as leaders is that it's easier said than done, right? Everybody wants to delegate, but the problem is for most people, they go to delegate and it ends up backfiring. |
| 3:52.0 | I like to call it the boomerang effect and it actually ends up creating more work and more struggle for them than if they just did it themselves. |
