| 0:50.6 | And although energy sometimes feels like a state of being something that we already are, energy is actually something that we can take control of. It's something that we can impact and we can influence. |
| 1:01.6 | And energy is something that has a massive impact on our results. You have to think I went to school for communication. So I always come back to this one basic principle, which is that more than I think 80 or 90% of what someone actually gets in their messaging from their interaction with you is not what you say, but the energy that you convey. |
| 1:25.6 | It's the voice intonation. It's the body language. It's the nonverbals. It's the things that you don't say that actually tell the person the most about you. |
| 1:35.6 | For example, you guys probably feel like you know what kind of person I am and probably can imagine my face and how I think and what I look like and how I feel just by the energy that I convey in this podcast. |
| 1:48.6 | You probably have a pretty good idea of the kind of person that I am just from the energy that you get from what I share here and how I share it and what I get excited about and people can tell the same about you. |
| 2:01.6 | And so what I want to share here is how important it is to manage your energy. |
| 2:07.6 | And I think that's a really important distinction because we don't think of energy as something that we can control, right? |
| 2:15.6 | And we don't realize the messages that were conveying all day, every day through our email, through our phone communication, through the look in our eyes or our facial expression, through our body language, through every interaction that we have with someone that is coming in contact with us or our brand. |
| 2:34.6 | They're getting thousands of messages from us that may be intentional or may not be. |
| 2:40.6 | And sometimes those unintended messages are exactly what's preventing us from getting to our goals. |
| 2:47.6 | You have to remember that when it comes to doing business with someone, whether you're listening to unstoppable success radio because you want to get a promotion, you want to have better relationships, you want to have a healthier, happier life, or you want to grow and build your dream business. |
| 3:02.6 | Whatever it is, people want to be around people that they feel good when they get done an interaction with, right? |
| 3:09.6 | You want to be around people that make you feel like your energy is higher. |
| 3:14.6 | You've gained something by being in this person's presence. |
| 3:17.6 | This person's presence makes you feel good about yourself and it leaves you happier and fuller than before you came in contact with them. |
| 3:27.6 | Now, I know everyone listening can think of an experience where you interacted with someone and after that interaction you just felt empty. |
| 3:35.6 | Maybe you felt sad or a little depressed or a little disappointed or frustrated. |
| 3:41.6 | We've all had that experience and sometimes that is completely unintentional. |
