Summary

Adam Yates required over 40 seconds to unseat Tadej Pogacar from the leader's jersey in stage 5 of the UAE Tour 2021, the last mountain stage of the one week stage race, the gradual and relatively easy climb up to Jebel Jais. To pull it off, the Ineos train would need to appear in full force in order to put Pogacar and his UAE Emirates team under pressure.
