What you see, Michael, from the focus groups is a little bit deeper understanding of the cocktail that's leading not just to support for Trump, but violence, support for Trump.

What you have in the great replacement is this idea that people who have built their whole lives a certain amount of stuff, certain amount of things, certain amount of advantages, they see that this is all now vulnerable to be lost to who they see as undeserving people.

And they see that what's the reason this could happen is because there are corrupt immoral leaders who are doing that, willing to basically have them lose everything that they and their families have worked for in order to make some short term political gain.

Bob Pate is a professor of political science at the University of Chicago and the director of the Chicago project on security and threats.
