| 0:25.5 | U.S. economy next year and how do you think that differs from some of the other |
| 0:29.2 | major forecasts that are out there? So I think what we've been hearing from |
| 0:32.4 | clients is that our growth forecasts for next year are so high that |
| 0:37.0 | they look more like others bull case. |
| 0:40.6 | But I think what's hard to argue with is the shape of growth that we're expecting. |
| 0:45.0 | In the near term here, we're going to go through a difficult winter. |
| 0:49.0 | We think by the time we turn the corner into the new year will have seen consecutive declines in |
| 0:54.9 | consumer spending and all of that related to the renewed restrictions |
| 0:59.3 | around COVID. If Matthew Harrison, our biotech analyst, is right, the acceleration in cases |
| 1:06.4 | will have stabilized in January. By February and March, you're starting to have it and pick up |
| 1:11.7 | an activity and you're moving toward |
| 1:14.2 | getting vaccinated for the broad population in April with a second dose in June. |
| 1:19.8 | So next year, you know, my sense is that there's this idea out there that the economy will continue |
| 1:26.4 | to be be beleaguered until we get past the vaccine, that there's almost this demarcation |
| 1:32.4 | and growth from before vaccine, post vaccine. |
| 1:36.9 | But one thing that we're looking at, and maybe this comes from the benefit of being able to work so |
| 1:40.4 | closely with a biotech analyst on staff. |
