The So day six of our twilight zone advent calendar and a long time friends of the show Vera Bible poses the question, season four can be a bit of a slug.

But I think there are a few episodes that might have been very good if they followed the 30 minute format.

Which episodes do you think would be considered good to great if they were 30 minutes long?

I think in his image and on Thursday we leave for home are the best of that bunch.

Now this is a good question for you in particular, Zach.

You are a video editor.

You know about trimming things down and so on.

And you have some experience in this field.

So what do you think? Yeah, I feel like I'm a perfect guy to ask this question, too, Tom. And I would say, and I agree about season four, I think there's some great stuff in there. I think there could be some even greater stuff if you just trim off some of that fat. But to me, in his image is actually one of my favorites. And I think

that's a great one. If you condense some of the repetitiveness of that episode, he keeps finding new

stuff like, my mom didn't exist. My school didn't exist. I'm like, okay, well, you can really

reshuffle those and trim some of that out. I didn't get a more tighter story. And then 30 Fathom Grave, which is one of the weaker episodes, again, repetitiveness. I feel like if you just cut some of that repetitiveness out. Let's go down again. They go down like three or four times. I don't know. You go down once, maybe twice. You have a big reveal. You're done. You don't just pad this stuff out. And that's a weakness of that episode. It's filmed repetitive. And then finally, for me, uh, death ship. Death ship, which probably works best even as a 30 minute episode because they, in the reverse of most of these season four episodes, they actually the episode was based off a short story by richard mathison and they added all this stuff where they dream they're back on earth and that kind of like i don't know like like some of the best wise in episodes are all this this clasperphobia of the status that you're in and it's and when you just when you can just dream that you're back home it's weird and kind of takes you out of like what's going on and it's not bad or anything like i enjoy that

episode but it does feel like it doesn't fit in everything else and it makes perfect sense to know

they added that in a fine way to to when you're presented with the problem of expanding that story

but you take that out you don't miss a beat so i I think that episode is probably even better without it. So that's my short list of episodes. Okay. I'm just going to go with the one. And it's one that I really like. I don't have a problem with it. I think I'm less bothered by the length of season four episodes than a lot of people,

but I do agree, you know, the 30 fath and grave.

Let's just go and check one more time.
